Anhoca
Anhoca is a small, young nation in the Cradle, enveloped by Calashi'din Vorpakk and Zabria. It is considered by most to be a client-state of Calashi'din Vorpakk, and Anhoca is largely dependent on the strong trade it does with the Calashi.
Anhoca was established during the Usminan-Calashi War. The Calashi were ill prepared for the wide open plains of Usmina, and had little in the way of cavalry once fighting left the Needle Hills. In exchange for a large parcel of Usminan land, the Calashi recruited the centaurs of the plains to fight for them.
When the capital city of Illeron was taken and renamed in 3934 EC, the Calashi formally turned over the region between the two southern rivers of Usmina.
Demography and Population
The people of Anhoca are exceedingly centaurs of Saktolan and Sauvian descent. The nation quickly became a gathering place of centaurs who previously roamed in the nations of Usmina and Zabria before the war.
Calashi goblins have found their place in the nation, and often fill jobs that are unsuitable for the large physique of centaurs. They fill gaps in some of the more skilled and resource intensive crafts that the centaurs had not had the land or manpower to master.
Most humans living in the area fled north during the war, and few Usminans continue to live in Anhoca.
