Graycloaks
Structure
Formally known as the Iccotian Department of Intelligence, it is not well understood how the Graycloaks are recruited or organized. It is assumed there must be some sort of leader, but they remain out of the public eye as most Graycloaks do.
Those that do have the opportunity to work with the enigmatic organization have to grapple with sudden and unannounced changes in who they work with, as agents acting as their points of contact come and go fairly readily.
Public Agenda
The Graycloaks are protect Iccot from dangers both internal and external - to this end they act as both a national security force as well as diplomats and spies. Graycloaks tend to pop up around the world with little explanation from Iccot or the agents themselves.
In Iccot city proper, they outrank the city guard as well as a fair number of military ranks, and report to members of the Council of Iccot directly.
Assets
The Graycloaks are named after the simple gray cloaks most are seen in inside of Iccot. Other than this, their standard equipment is of high quality but otherwise of little note.
Some Graycloaks wear concealing masks in addition to their hooded cloaks. The exact design seems to vary somewhat, with agents on diplomatic missions wearing more formal rather than functional masks. Local superstition is that seeing a Graycloak without their mask is a death sentence - either through magic or simply because you have become a loose end that needs tying.
