Iccot city

<Ick-kott>

Iccot is one of the largest trade cities on the continent, boasting a huge variety of humanoid species in its little bay on the eastern coast.

Defences

All land entry into Iccot is closely monitored - and taxed. Proper forms must be filled out, all trade goods must be declared and properly taxed. The city's robust population of guards oversees the city's three main gates, as well as its docks and shipyards.   Inner walls house barracks, catapults and trebuchets that have collected dust over time.

Industry & Trade

Iccot is the biggest trade port on the west coast of the continent, centrally located for easy land trade from the rivers that run from the Riverlands, and centrally located for trade from both north and south Aisoa.

Infrastructure

Iccot is built along the coast, constructed directly above three great rivers that feed into a small bay. The massive bridges and stilts that allow travel throughout the river city and its shipyards have earned it the name The City of Structures.   Encircling the city are its great walls, built to protect its riches from external dangers. As the city expanded, new walls were built, and the old have become the markers that separate the city's districts.

Guilds and Factions

The Iccotian Department of Intelligence, more commonly known as the Graycloaks, are Iccot's network of spies. They come and go from the city freely, and often work in other countries and even other continents all in the name of ensuring that Iccot remains aware of any dangers to the city-state, whether they lay within the city's walls, or outside of it.   The Three Point Kings criminal syndicate maintains a tenuous foothold in the city along with several other local gangs. The most notable and oldest of which are the Gravediggers, which have managed to survive numerous city military raids on them over the years.

Architecture

The city is split up into several districts:   Little Non, a residential district mostly inhabited by less wealthy individuals.   White Barrow, a wealthy trade district inhabited largely by the wealthy.   Plaith North and Plaith East, the two docks districts are almost exclusively buildings of industry, and those who work there.
