The Kanemi

The Kanemi is a god associated with plurality, hive minds, and community. Rather than a single being, The Kanemi is a collection of creatures that share one consciousness. It is unclear when The Kanemi came into existence, and it itself does not seem to know.   Relatively sociable compared to most gods, The Kanemi has spread itself across the world, and primarily exists in small temples devoted to its worship. There are thirty four known entities that count themselves as part of The Kanemi, each formerly an individually minded creature.

Divine Domains

The Kanemi is primarily associated with community, protection, and knowledge. Though it is a less divine and more mundane reason, it is also heavily associated with long distance communication, and mail. The Kanemi has on numerous occasions been utilized as a messaging system, flawlessly and instantly relaying messages between the entities that share its existence.   The Kanemi's most commonly used symbol is two mirrored soldiers holding the same spear. In larger pieces of art, these soldiers stand in front of an array of others of the same design. The design of the soldiers generally varies from nation to nation, reflecting what is common locally.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

The Kanemi interacts regularly with mortals, and has situated itself in numerous mortal settlements across the world. It is a source of great knowledge, though it tends to keep secrets for the good of mortals.   The Order of the Envoy maintains numerous monasteries devoted to The Kanemi. They often allow visitors to speak with the god in times of need, and otherwise determine how to utilize the unique resource they protect. These monks tend to treat every request with seriousness, and tend not to outright dismiss requests - nonetheless, they make prioritizations as they see fit.  

Known Entities

The Kanemi is known to have a presence in northern Aswana, Huilan Guo, Sordurland, Nores, and Island of Challi. Beyond the Dragonsbreath Isles, they have settled far off lands - some even say their influence stretches into the outer planes.

Physical Description

Identifying Characteristics

The Kanemi is made up of many individual mortal entities of varying species, appearance, and origin. Due to this, it is difficult to identify The Kanemi without being informed. Individuals merged into The Kanemi have not been known to exit the plurality, and there are some recognizable entities. Entities of The Kanami can age and die like others of their species, but universally are much more powerful than they were prior to merging.
