Springcloud Forest
Springcloud Forest, formerly known as the Laughing forest, was a forest that used to be teeming with Gnolls and Hyenas, but was cleared out during the War for Vernoff by Eclipse and the Legio Imperallis.
The forest was renamed for Deawynn Springcloud, in honor of Eclipse and their contributions to the The Empire. Currently the forest is recovering, but no unnatural beings have been sighted, and imperial trade is resuming once more.
This has been the case for as long as anyone can remember but the population there has recently grown, and so has the threat of raids on settlements and trade caravans. So far Count Eraon Torpin has estimated their numbers are in the few dozens, but the local Inquisitor says the numbers are in the hundreds.
Lately, the numbers of gnolls have increased significantly, and right before the razing of Vernoff, reports said they number in the thousands. Trade between Vernoff and Creekfall was all but impossible for months, and there are also rumors that the town of Rosiot was also razed by the gnoll hoard before Vernoff.

The Laughing Forest gains its name from the numbers of Gnolls and Hyenas inhabiting it. They have been a small threat to the important trade route there, and have not presented a real challenge to contain for hundreds of years.
