Morin's Hold

"Two tickets for the Undercity? Just sign these waivers confirming we aren't responsible for your deaths for me please. Perfect - entrance is just over there, have fun!"  - Ticket Taker at the entrance to the famous Morin's Hold undercity.
Morin's Hold is a town within the Central Dominance that has sprung up fairly recently around the ancient and ruined Dawn fortress from which the town takes its name.   From what I have been able to tell, the people who come to live here do so only because of the impressive wealth of Dawn ruins beneath the old fort, with the city attracting many of the adventuring types willing to brave their depths, a fact which has allowed almost an entire economy to spring up around it.   Despite the huge number of spelunkers who delves into the enormous ruins beneath the city, they have never come close to being fully explored - it is well known that those who delve to far into their dark and winding tunnels are unlikely to return.

Tourism

Morin's Hold is completely driven by tourism - and is able to attract to many almost exclusively due to the enormous undercity which stretches just under the forts surface. Would-be adventurers travel from all around the Empire to visit the town and try their hand at exploring the depths of the ruins, though the upper layers have been rendered fairly safe and most 'loot' is hand placed by the towns government.

Architecture

Everything within the walls of the old fort has a fairly unique style, and is one of the few remaining surface level buildings from the Dawn. That being said once one enters the hastily constructed town outside the walls, the usual utilitarian style of Empire architecture takes over.
This town finds itself in something of a strange situation - almost its entire economy is based around people visiting from all over the Empire to delve into its Undercity, yet despite the constant drive to bring in wealthy adventurers, it is well known that the depths of the ruins here are incredibly dangerous, and most assume something has made its home in its depths. Morin's Hold walks a fine line between using the Undercity as a tourist attraction, and risking waking whatever it is that dwells in its depths.
