Central Dominance

The Central Dominance is a place of open grasslands and forests, and is essentially the birthplace of the Empire. Its temperate climates make for an easy style of living when compared to the scorching heat of the Southern Dominance and the frozen tundras of the Northern Dominance, and it generally attracts races which prefer a more comfortable temperature, rather than either of the two extremes.
The soil of the central dominance is also far more fertile than anywhere else in The Empire, and as such a large portion of its income comes from producing and selling food. That being said this area has seen an impressive amount of urbanization since the technological boom, and a great portion of the population has moved into the dominance cities and towns. Despite this however the majority of people are still required to work the land if the Empire is to survive The Darkening.

Geography

The Central Dominance is mainly grassland, which differs in elevation greatly around its middle creating numerous valleys, most notable of which is the Luminessan Valley. The temperature rises towards the south, while the northern border is lined with the mountain range known as The Shards. Also dotting the dominance are a selection of large forests.

Fauna & Flora

The Central Dominance is home to typical woodland beasts, along with more atypical indigenous life such as Redhorns. During the darkening, beasts from a large series of deep caves running beneath this area are attracted to the surface like worms after a storm, and during this months the forests are not safe to travel.

Natural Resources

This dominance is home mainly to more mundane resources such as iron and copper. It also has an abundance of fertile ground which make it ideal for growing food - something which is vital to survive the Darkening.

Tourism

Featuring numerous landmarks such as the Luminessan Valley and numerous Dawn Civilization settlements, combined with its accessible location makes this Dominance by far the most visited within the The Empire
