Elderlock

A village on the eastern coast of Roth Island under the control of The Dark Tide with heavy ties to the volcano Galeroth and the fire deity Vurrgaan. It is one of the oldest, still active settlements in the isles yet although it maintains a small population.
There is a well-kept and much-travelled path leading from the village to the eastern side of Galreoth. Residents often travel to and from the volcano as part of their rituals and at the base of the climb is a shrine that only village members may enter.
Elderlock is home to a group known as the Elderlock Chosen who are marked with special symbols from birth. The seven individuals that bear these markings are tasked with ruling the village and upholding the will of Vurrgaan, whatever it may be.
While outsiders are permitted to travel through and even rest at Elderlock, they are not welcome to stay for long periods or to meddle or interfere with the goings on of the village.
