Tamsin Gardens
Sitting on the outskirts of the Crimson Citadel, Tamsin Gardens stands as a stark contrast to the stone and grandeur of the citadel. This lush oasis serves as a haven for both locals and visitors alike, providing a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
Constructed in 2077 AC by order of then queen Ahkazia Cazir as a place where citizens could enjoy the same experiences the courtyards of the citadel gave to her. Since then they have been modified, built upon and extended, almost now forming a perfect circle of greenery around the castle walls.
As one enters the gardens, a symphony of colours and fragrances immediately freshens the senses. The air is filled with the sweet perfume of blooming flowers, and the vibrant hues of a myriad of plant life paint the landscape in a sea of greens, reds, and purples. Meandering pathways, paved with smooth stones, wind through the foliage, inviting visitors to explore the hidden corners of this botanical paradise.
Throughout the gardens, meticulously manicured greens offer open spaces for picnics and gatherings. Towering trees provide shade on sunny days, and the gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze creates a soothing melody. The city's residents often come to escape the pressures of daily life, finding solace and rejuvenation amid nature's embrace.
The centrepiece of Tamsin Gardens is a serene pond, its surface reflecting the surrounding greenery. Graceful grey and black birds glide across the water, adding a touch of elegance to the tranquil scene. Stone benches are strategically placed along the water's edge, providing the perfect spot for contemplation or a leisurely afternoon read.
