Amphithere

Descended from dragons, these feathered serpents have smaller, sleeker bodies than their ancestors, graceful wings, but no legs. Living mostly as ambush predators, they prefer to constrict prey, fly it several hundred feet in the air, and then drop it below to kill it. They lack a dragon's breath weapon but are shockingly fast & difficult to hit or capture.
