Astrological Water Clock
In the Tenderloin District along Cheap Street near Craft Street is a shop run by the locally famous craftsman by the name of Glinthi the Artificer. Glinthi's work is always in demand, and he is well known for his engineering marvel, Rod of Climbing, however what he is most famously known for is the two-story water clock that sits inside his shop next to the picture window for all Lankhmarians to see.
The water clock tracks the movement of Sonne, The Traveler, and The Dark Lady around the planet M'Brell in a very precise manner. Students from the Astrological University visit Glinthi's shop often to marvel at its fine mechanical engineering and to gain a more visceral understanding of how the celestial bodies move in relation to one another.
The water clock took Glinthi 2 years to construct and 3 years to perfect it's motions, ensuring accuracy in time of day and planetary position. The clock is magically protected by several wards to ensure that no one tampers with its delicates cogs and wheels.
