Session 0020 : The Umber Hulk Falls

General Summary

• The Heretic continue to fight the Umber Hulk. The most remarkable highlights of this final leg of the battle were:
  • Benneth struck the Umber Hulk with a Witch Bolt that surged through his body in such a particular and unusual way that it sent the Umber Hulk running scared into the southernmost chamber of the Hulk's lair
  • The Hulk, feeling very intimidated by Matteu, shot a Confusing Gaze at Matteu Ravenwing, causing him to run away from the Hulk in fear.
  • The Hulk was struck severely by Ironcast, and thus became the Hulk's next target. The Hulk clawed Ironside and sheared him with its mandibles, causing Ironcast to fall unconscious and to drift towards death. Cathlynn saw this and ran to Ironcast's side and cast a Cure Wounds spell onto him, reviving him back to consciousness. Ironcast quickly pushed himself away from the area and huddled up against Matteu Ravenwing.
  • Nebula finally delivered the death blow with her quarter staff
