Sølv Vildnis

The Sølv Vildnis is the guard of the Ranginian Empire. It's name means silver wilderness in sølvfarvet the language of the Empire, but they are also known as the Silver Guard. Their main quarters are in the capital, Syrendille.

The Sølv Vildnis is comprised of five different companies each managed by a different commander. Each company trains it's soldiers towards a specialty in which they excel. The companies are named after animals that can be found in the wilderness of the Empire.

The formation was founded 10 years after the end of the Magna Bellis.

Composition

Equipment

The equipment of the Sølv Vildnis is made of fool's silver, the most abundant material found in the Ranginian Empire. This is what gives the guard it's official name, Sølv Vildnis, as well as it's urban one, the fakes.

Structure

The Sølv Vildnis is commanded by the general of the empire, the emperor. He conveys his orders to the generals of each battalion who then acts in accordance.

The force is composed of four battalions:

• Sneræv. The reconnaisance division of the Sølv Vildnis. They are cavalry based and focused on speed.
• Isbjørn. The main body of the empire's forces. They are infantry based and specialised in warfare combat.
• Sneugle. The aerial reinforcements of the Sølv Vildnis. They are specialised griffin riders that patrol the lands from a vantage point.
• Spækhugger. The marine division of the Sølv Vildnis. Soldiers of this division are specialised in the usage of water vehicles.

History

Historical loyalties

The Sølv Vildnis is under the command of the emperor of the Ranginian Empire, although during the revolution of 406 most of it's soldiers sided with the prince abandoning the emperor.
