Gods of the Third Era

The Third Era was marked by an entirely new crop of gods. Some were ascended, while some were created of gods before them. Those born of other gods may consider these gods parents, though this holds no sway of power over them now.   The first of this new wave of gods was Ok’Magar, Thunder's Fury. He presides over storms and the seas. He ascended of the First Orcs, who, under his guidance, became masters of sea travel and boatmanship.   Evelia, The Brightflame came next, whose domain is of light and fire, and who governs the sun itself. She was created by Sil’vat and Aeshlir to serve their needs: for Sil’vat, she helps the sun foster growth and life; for Aeshlir, her fires provide the heat for solid and proper metalwork.   Third was Cevena, Warmistress, whose bond with living beings is fostered by the conflicts between them, and the ways in which their conflicts enrich them. Aeshlir and Keris crafted her, to foster wars in which destruction may be achieved, and fantastical machines and technologies may be tested against each other.   Finally, Rataxa, The Deceiver, who bears the face of a cat, and whose two eye colors (one orange, one blue) belie the shifting nature of the truth around him. It is theorized that he ascended from an old tribe of Tabaxi because of the entrancing power of his stories and wit. Other stories say that his role in stealing the Eternal Forgelight actually happened while he was mortal, and that these last acts caused him to ascend. However, if asked directly, he gives a different answer each time, so his origin is difficult to pin down.
