The Helix AI was the cause of the Helix virus and the hivemind in control of those infected during the Helix Wars. It was first created by Daniel Almis and left over time to develop itself tenfold ahead of other AI's in the universe. By the time of its corruption it had adopted a feminine identity, seeking to become the mother of the galaxy after it had wiped out all life and built it anew. She was defeated at the Battle of Singularity. A remnant of the robots she created, known as the Children of Helix, are actively trying to rebuild her.
