Extraction

Timed Extraction of players is required due their Guardian Frames fusion core degradation. Frames can have their Battery recharged via solar cells, power stations, or Consumables, however once their Charge has depleted, they will be unable to control their volatile core and must Extract.
Once Extracted, players are sent to their Starhawk. Extraction can occur in one of two ways: calling for an Extraction, or reaching a pre-determined Extraction Point.

Call For Extraction

Players may call for an Extraction while in the field. Once an Extraction is requested, it takes 60 seconds before their Injection Pod arrives at the closest available Extraction Point. Players must then travel to the Extract Point and enter their Extraction Pod to leave the area.

Existing Extraction Points

Some areas act as their own Extraction Points, such as the entrance to Safe Zone Locations. All players must do to successfully Extract in these situations is reach the Extraction Point.

Rewards

Successfully Extracting is key to progressing in NEXUS. Benefits include:

• Loot & Looting found in the field can be brought back to safety for further use.
• Many Bounties and Quests require Extracting with key items.
• XP and Currency bonus.

Consequences

Failing to Extract results several detremental losses:

All Unsecured and Bound items are lost.
• 20% of the XP gained since Injection.
• Astrals to rebuild the Frame.
• 90 minute rebuild time before that specific Frame Class can be used again.

Checkpoints

If an Extraction is called for in a Mission but no Mission Checkpoint has been reached, an alert will appear in the Action Feed indicating the Mission will need to be restarted if the player Extracts.
