Warden Herman

Warden Herman is the man in charge of the orphanarium that Leh'ct and many other disenfranchised children call home. He has run the establishment for many years with his small staff, doing what he can to do right by the children as one of the few uncorrupt city officials in Haven City.   When Leh'ct discovered a box containing a bracelet with his name on it and note written in elvish while changing bed linens, he asked Warden Herman about it. Herman awkwardly explained he that'd intended to tell Leh'ct about the items when the boy was older. He told Leh'ct the story of the night the boy had been left on their porch as a baby, swaddled in a damp blanket with only that bracelet and parchment with him. The Warden had tried unsuccessfully for several years after to identify Leh'ct's origins and seemed to consider his inability to do so a personal failure towards Leh'ct.   When Leh'ct's refusal to cooperate with Marchioness Eve led to the orphanarium being burned down, Warden Herman was rendered speechless by Leh'ct's tale of how and why this had all unfolded. But after the boy and his companions fled Haven City, Warden Herman had learned he had done some good too.   Leh'ct and his friends had cleared the spirits out of the formerly haunted Sinclair Mansion and gotten his fellow orphans to help renovate the place. This was also helped (unknown to Warden Herman) by Stane, who had some of his constructs assisting the children. Leh'ct also left behind some money that Warden Herman was able to use to purchase the Sinclair Mansion cheaply from officials who believed it still haunted, turning it into a new orphanarium. The more isolated mansion also included much more land than the old orphanarium, allowing them to plant crops using some of the food Stane had delivered there on Leh'ct's behalf so that all the children could eat properly now.
