The Idiomaris Rebellion

Revolution

969 - 973 3A

"Provinciales, return to your homes in a peaceful manner, you will not be warned again." - Tharrisian Legatus

Following the rule of a particularly unpopular and brutal governor, a widespread series of riots grew in the Tharrisian province of Idiomaris. The riots were put down brutally in typical Tharrisian fashion, but that only exploded into widespread open rebellion.   The rebellion began to grow and grow until it had engulfed the province, along with parts of Forelenium.   Tharrisia reacted as it usually does, it sent several legions to put down the rebellion.   The rebellion burned for nearly 5 years before it was officially declared over. In the aftermath, the Tharrisian government began to point fingers. While the governor was indeed blamed (though punishment was unneeded as he was killed during the rebellion), a lot of the blame fell to the Cults of Ris in forelenium for "formenting rebellion", and surprisingly, many Tharrisians openly blamed Federated Union of Eastern Kalin, saying that the Union had interests in the region and had aided and helped the rebels. These accusations would kick off ongoing tensions between the Impero and the Union.
