After 5 years of the Unsung War, the governments of Tharrisia and the Union had reached their final straws, and both governments prepared for real war, calling for their armies to be mobilized.   Both powers, following reports from their spies, issued declarations of war to each other on The 15th of Summer Lumena 984 3A. The declarations got to each nations diplomats and almost immediately fighting broke out across several war fronts between the actual militaries of both sides.   The largest Battle was in the Dead Waters around the City of the Dead, where the Tharrisian and Union navies engaged each other openly after a months long stand off. This battle was also where the war came to a sudden crashing end, with the sudden and surprise arrival of Tarkus in his rarely seen Dragon form. The ancient Dragon ripped the guns off the largest battleships in the sea and roared for them to stop, around the same time diplomats from Straka and Aurelia speedily convinced both sides to stand down using letters from various leaders, including Tarkus.   The war began officially at 4:03 AM, and ended at 8:21 PM with a ceasefire. In that 16 hours, approximately 10,000 people died.   In the aftermath, Tarkus and Aurelia were careful to negotiate a peace deal and stop further bloodshed, fearing what a war between these two powers may do to the continent as a whole.
