Defteros

Defteros is the second largest city in the Andranes Republic and the main trade hub with the eastern states.

Demographics

Defteros is the most multicultural city in the republic, with elves making up only about half of the populations and the rest being halflings, gnomes, humans and hybrids who moved here from The Thriatic Threaty, members of the more exotic species who commonly live in the Tzinael Utopia and even the occasional defector from the Obalius Empire. A decent amount of kenkus live in Defteros, most of them working in the city's large shipyard.

Industry & Trade

Food (in the form of fruit, vegetables, and farm animals) is the main export of Defteros: part of it is sent to other parts of the Republic and the rest is exchanged for products from other countries.

Infrastructure

Defteros most important infrastructures are the large docks, that cover most of the eastern side of the floating landmass, and the equally impressive shipyard. A river, fed by rainwater and manipulated by magic, nourishes the city's crops and moves its watermills. Many of Defteros infrastructures enjoy a modicum of automatization thanks to certain magical machines imported from Oswand.

Assets

Defteros market sells a huge variety of products, including many imported from the eastern states which are extremely hard to come by in other parts of the Republic. A school of arcane magic, a bardic college, and various teachers of martial arts can be found in the city.

Geography

The floating landmass on which Defteros is built is cut in half by the Erigasia river. The Douleia woods are located north of the river, the farmlands to the west, and the city sits atop hills on the south-eastern part of the landmass.
