The kingdom of Artan is the realm founded by Artas I in the heart of the region it was named after and its foundation coincides with the beginning of the Artas calendar in 1 EA.
It is the oldest human kingdom in the continent and at its peak, at the end of the Era of Artas, it occupied the entire region up to the borders of Uldaran and Odravast. Since its fragmentation at the death of Ulad II, multiple state entities arose that characterised the politics of the continent in the first decades of the Era of Mulcrist.
