Artan
Artan is a vast peninsula occupying the south-west of the continent of Afelgor. It stretches between the Sunset Sea and the Mountains of the Sun. It is a vast region with a generally temperate climate but bordered by high mountains whose peaks are perennially snow-capped. Historically, the region has been home to flourishing civilisations thanks to the abundance of waterways, which, together with the mountains, constitute natural boundaries between nations.
The majestic Wind-Cutters mountains in the south separate the south into three areas: Thamlen, Anduran and Odravast. The central belt of the region is occupied by Orvenia, Central Artan and Miranvar, while in the north are the regions of Tircandar and Siravast. The Beldrin Archipelago to the west is also part of the region.
