Light Elves
Basic Information
Anatomy
Light Elves are bipedal species that have four limbs, two legs and two arms, five digits on each hand and feet and have hairless bodies. Light Elves also have long slender pointed ears and males are unable to grow facial hair.
Biological Traits
Male Light Elves are generally larger than females, female Light Elves are able to produce milk from their breasts and are the ones that give birth. All Light Elves have long slender pointed ears and are proficient in using magic.
Genetics and Reproduction
Light Elves reproduce sexually and are viviparous, they typically have a gestation period of 9 months.
Growth Rate & Stages
Light Elves grow at a decelerating rate throughout their lives. Very young High Elves matured at a rate comparable with Humans but during adolescence slowed to a near stop until about 110 years of age, at which point Light Elves were considered mature.
Light Elves then remained vigorous and active until the middle of their third century. Even so, after this, most Light Elves suffered few of the infirmities of old age that plagued other races, remaining full of life until the end.
Ecology and Habitats
Light Elves are able to live in a variety of environments due to their high magical powers and artefacts, they will alter the environment to make it hospitable for them to live. Light Elves are generally found in temperate or sub-tropical climates.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Light Elves are omnivores they procure their food by domesticating animals and farming crops, they can also hunt and gather for food as well.
Biological Cycle
As time progresses Light Elves age, eventually their bodies will reach a point where they can no longer sustain themselves and will eventually die. However, they live much longer lives than some other races such as Humans.
Behaviour
Light Elves are a cooperative species and will form communities to help each other, they believe themselves to be better than other species and will act prideful though they are still able to have good relations between other races despite this. Disputes between Light Elves are generally resolved without the use of violence.

The Light Elf social structure is based on the purity of their blood and magical power, the purer blood the more powerful magic you have, those with purest blood make up the nobility while those with less pure blood are further down the social hierarchy.

Light Elves have a pair of eyes, that come in various colours such as blue, green and violet, and ears, that are long slender and pointed, with one nose and mouth.

Light Elves have a high level of intelligence and are known to be one of the more intelligent races found in Nomardia. Light Elves are known to have a greater capacity for intelligence than most races and have a natural talent towards all things magical.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Light Elves predominantly use sight to observe the world around them but can use other senses such as hearing to do so as well. They are also able to use magic to observe the world around like a sixth sense.

Naming Traditions
Light Elf names follow the conventions of having a first name and last or family name, their names are usually melodic, somewhat long, and sometimes hard to pronounce.
Beauty Ideals
Light Elf beauty ideals are based on the physical appearance of an individual, their magical power/ability and the purity of one's blood.
Gender Ideals
In Light Elf society both sexes have equal rights and opportunities.
Courtship Ideals
Both sexes of Light Elves will try to court those they are attracted to by either showing off their magical abilities and/or by offering gifts.
Relationship Ideals
Light Elves are polygamous and will have many intimate relations with other people, Light Elf nobility are known to take Light Elves with less pure blood and people from other races as concubines. Same sex marriage is common in Light Elf society. However, marriage between Light Elf nobility and those of less pure blood or other races is forbidden as they are trying to keep their blood pure, though they can be concubines.

Light Elves rely on magic instead of technology, because of this they developed advanced magical tools. Light Elves have access to powerful magic tools/equipment as well as artefacts, magical metals, magical stones and powerful spells.

Light Elves treat those with the purest blood with great reverence and awe, while those with less pure blood are seen as less important.
Common Dress Code
Light Elves dress themselves in clothing made from fine materials such as silk that come in light colours. Light Elves that are a part of the nobility will adorn themselves with golden and silver jewellery.
Culture and Cultural Heritage
Light Elf culture is based on their magical abilities and purity of blood. All Light Elves are very prideful as they believe themselves to be superior to other races, however, this causes issues with other races and if their pride gets hurt things can get violent. Due to their pride Light Elves can act very snobbish and are prone to throw tantrums when things don't go their way.
Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals
Light Elves are known to hold extravagant parties during the changing of seasons, these are known as the spring ball, summer ball, autumn ball and winter ball. At these parties there are large banquets and dances.
Common Taboos
It is forbidden for Light Elf nobility to marry those with low purity of blood or people from other races, other taboos include murder, theft, assault, cannibalism etc.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Light Elves believe themselves to be superior to other races, though this does not prevent them from cooperating with other races. Light Elves due to their pride have a rivalry with Dwarves where they will try to show that they are the superior race than Dwarves.
