The Party Comes Together

The party meets in Kelethin for the first time as they gather for the Great Hunt.

Kelethin's annual Great Hunt brings people from all over Faydwer to capture small woodland creatures in the Greater Faydark for a chance to win a magical prize. This year's festival had some guests from even farther:

• Arya Kinnis and Carlos Santinalla, a Half Elf and Human couple from Antonica in search of coin and safe haven from their self-inflicted troubles back home.
• Ellie Effigy, a wide-eyed Vah'Shir archaeologist from Luclin obsessed with Norrath and in search of knowledge and adventure.
• Roswyn Weatherbee, a Halfling guard from Rivervale looking to protect people from more than just the Goblins back home.
• Yarver Brightmoon, another Halfling from Rivervale looking to discover the purpose of the celestial influence of his druidic abilities.

Arya and Carlos were finishing up their performance in Myrisa's Tavern when it's owner, Myrisa Mistwood, asks them if they intend to participate in Kelethin's Great Hunt festival starting the next day. They express interest but feel they lack the hunting and survival skills necessary to compete. As luck would have it, someone with those exact skills overheard their conversation; Ellie approaches the couple and offers to help them in exchange for just their company. One other patron of Myrisa's tavern, Yarver sees the group forming and takes the opportunity to introduce himself and offer his druidic skills as well.   While Arya and Carlos are clearly more interested in the potential rewards, Ellie and Yarver see the festival as an opportunity to experience true Wood Elf culture. For the moment, their interests align and they head to see Maesyn Trueshot, the leader of the Faydark's Champions rangers guild to enter the festival.
