Recapture and Reinforcement of Orc Hill

The party joins Sirian Wolfwind in assaulting Orc Hill. They successfully defeat the Orcs and retake the outpost.

November 20th

The party aids the elves in final preparations for the assault on Orc Hill. Arya and Roswyn walk around the camp trying to inspire the elves while Ellie fake-plays her drums to lighten the mood. Their reputation has spread far and wide, as every Elf in the camp knows them by name and description. They are constantly asked for stories of their exploits.  

November 21st

After sundown, Sirian leads the party and the garrison toward Orc Hill. When they crest the hill separating the two forts, they see that the Orcs have begun their celebrations, leaving them vulnerable to attack. After some light scouting, the group begins their assault. Roswyn leads the infantry to the walls while Yarver stays behind with the archers to provide them flaming arrows. Several well-placed spells and a polymorphed T-Rex Roswyn manage to defeat the unprepared orcs, though it does come with some casualties. Upon their victory, Sirian informs them that they will work to restore and reinforce Orc Hill. They will not allow it to fall in to Orc hands again.  

November 22nd

Yarver tries to scry on Davin with the sock that Ellie stole from his hideout, but it doesn't work. Roswyn asks Equestrielle about her connection to Queen Esmerae and finds out that she is bonded to the queen. This leads to further questions about which queen was real.  

November 23rd - November 24th

The party spends a couple days assisting the elves with cleaning up Orc Hill and getting it ready for restoration, just as they did for Emerald Outpost. They talk with Sirian about next steps. Sirian tells them that the plan is to hold the pass just north of Orc Hill until they can muster a force large enough to assault Crushbone. They don't intend on destroying it, but crippling it as best they can: they want to kill as many of the leaders as possible. In a few days, another large Orc force will be coming through the pass and the elves must meet them to avoid getting surrounded later.  

November 25th

The party marches out with the Elves to make camp in the pass.  

November 26th

Battle with the Orc forces ensues, but there is one surprise: Bonefire is with them. Their engagement with her is fierce and she nearly kills several of them as she tears a path towards Carlos. After the party fells her, her body burns up and turns to ash that blows away with the wind. Her death demoralizes the orcs and ends the fight quickly, though not without casualties for the elves. The party gathers a jar of Bonefire's blood as well as several jars of Orc blood for Ueaas Songbrook back in Kelethin.  

November 27th

The party makes the journey from the pass back to Orc Hill.
