In 951 DR, orcs attacked Tresendar Manor in Phandalin, where the owner of Talon lived. Blackhawk, formally known as Sir Aldith Tresendar, used the long sword to fend off many of the orcs in the caverns of his manor. Blackhawk was slain, and Talon was lost. Over 400 years later, it was found by a nothic that was under command of Iarno Albrek. It was recovered by the party during their assault on the overrun Tresendar Manor in 1401. Its shining blade remained glistening and unscathed as Allen wielded it to defend the party. After his death, the sword was given to Reginald. Shortly after this transition, it found a new home with the traveling merchant Lledrith when Reginald traded it for another item.
