Each of the 8 Biomes is run by its own Organisation or Guild.
Each Organisation and Guild has their own currency and at least 1 profession.
You can only select a profession for the Organisation and Guilds you are apart of, unless it is a Neutral Guild.
You can only pick one of the 2 Organisations as they are rivals, so choose wisely.
The starting NPC's for both Organisations are in The Town of Port Haven.
While you do not need to complete the story to pick your Oganisation, it is required that you have completed The Broken Highway questine.
Once you have picked your Organisation, NPC's will begin to treat you differently.
Those who are equally aligned will be friendly to you and may even give you extra rewards for completing tasks.
Those who do not share your alignement may be stand offish with you, pay you less, or not talk to you at all.
For those completing the story, the war between the 2 Organisations, and their aligned Guilds, will take you on an adventure across the world.

The organisation you pick governs which of the Guilds you can pick.
Of the 6 Guilds, 2 are aligned with the Foundation, 2 are aligned with the Rebel Core, and 2 are completely Neutral.
