Celtic Clans

The southwestern corner of Ankomst is occupied by Celtic peoples who share a culture and pantheon of gods, but lack unity at any real unity. Despite the constant infighting, the Celts do manage to maintain trading relationships, at least to some degree with the League Of Maritime Nations up the coast, and the city of Almanzil to the east. While the Celts are fragmented along clannish lines, they do respect an overarching order of druid-priests that hold some degree of sway in each of the six major clans in the south. Those six clans are the Clan of the Wolf (Faolan), the Clan of the Bear (Artos), the Clan of the Elk (Segh), The Clan of the Antelope (Fia Bernnach), the Clan of the Eagle (Dreig), and the Clan of the Lion (Leon) There are also various Celtic peoples in the south that are without a clan. These are predominantly people who have been disgraced and kicked out of their clan and are typically nomadic. They will often band together with other clanless people. The tribal celts refer to them as the Madadh-allaidh or Madall for short. Within Celtic society there are also the Daor, which is the name for human slaves. They are considered property of the clan. There is also the Doar-Seach, or just the Seach for short. These are below even human slaves are are made up if all the demi-human slaves; be they orc, elf, ogre or other humanoid creature.
