Paletar River

The Paletar is a river that flows through the lowlands of what remains of the Aurean Empire. It forms from a number of small, glacial streams in the province of Caltheria before flowing off the provinces famous cliff and down the massive Falls of the Gods. It then flows past the imperial capital Aureapolis and through the provinces of Aureapolis, Paletar, and Nurrelia, allowing these areas to become some of the most productive agricultural lands on the continent, before finally emptying into The Placid Sea to the north. Though not particularly wide, the river is large enough to allow large boats to travel most of its length, and it is navigable all the way to the falls with only a small break at a set of rapids in Aureapolis.
