Aureapolis Province
The province of Aureapolis is an Aurean province that surrounds, but does not include, the Aurean capital of Aureapolis. For this reason, it is colloquially known as The Ring. It sits in foothills at the base of the The Dragonpeaks, which curve around the province to the south and west. The Paletar River runs through the province, and though it is interupted by a series of rapids near the city of Aureapolis it is used heavily by residents of the province for travel and trade.
The capital and largest city of the province is Leonta, and the second largest is Fallbottom, located at the bottom of the The Falls of the Gods. Fallbottom is connected by The Great Stair to Caltheria, and is known for its large mill that uses the waterfall to mill large amounts of grain. There are also a great number of other towns and villages both along the river and near the outskirts of Aureapolis, and the province is one the most densely populated in the Aurean Empire.
