The Coastal Plain

The Coastal Plain is a large, fairly dry plain along the southwestern coast of Obseron. It is bordered to the north by The Windwood, to the west by the Howling Sea, and to the east by The Rift and The Southern Plateau. Its southern and southeastern edges fade into the The Endless Sands.
The plain is home to a large array of animals, most notably its huge herds of antelope and large, flightless birds. Its humanoid inhabitants are largely restricted to humans, mostly living as nomadic herders or in fishing villages along the coast, and some halflings who live in coastal villages either among the humans or in smaller villages of their own. Many of the nomadic have close ties to horses, and are known to venerate centaurs, who can sometimes be found living among them.
