The Old Road

The Old Road is an Aurean road built through the eastern portion of The Rift shortly after the areas conquest. It is notable for being one of the only Aurean roads built through the rift, where rivers are the primary mode of transportation. Like most Aurean roads, it is built of flat stones fitted together, and it is raised above the surrounding dunes to keep them from overtaking it.
The road runs from the city of Thelegon , through the desert villages of Sarth and Aqueduct , to the town of South Pass at what is now the Aurean border. Though it has fallen into somewhat of a state of disrepair since the collapse, with grasses growing between the stones and the dunes in some spots building up high enough to spill onto the road, it is still a major route for trade and travel and remains in heavy use.
