Mariners' Guildhall

This large wood-paneled building houses sailors from all over the known world. The main door opens into a small ten foot square bootroom that then leads into the main room. A notice board hangs by the door with a variety of employment opportunities, including specialty notices for specific tasks and quests.   The main room spans twenty square feet with a scattering of lounge chairs, bookcases, and maps along the walls. There are several areas that are designed to encourage small talk with several chairs facing each other across coffee tables. In addition, there is a food service counter along the north wall offering a small selection of beers, fish stew, seared tuna steaks, and other seafood dishes.

Purpose / Function

The guildhall provides a common place in every coastal town for mariners to replenish crew or seek employment. As well as a lounge that promotes discussions on seafaring, navigational threats, and other nautical news.    In addition, it has several common berthing areas that allow very cheap accommodations for traveling sailors.   There is also a few private rooms for visiting captains or other nautical dignitaries. However, these command a sizeable fee per night.
