Place of Power

A place of power is an area with exceptionally high background Magic.

Many magic users deliberately cultivate places of power, such as the Druids creating Nemetons.

However, places of power can occur naturally, or as the result of non-magical Human activity. Sites where multiple people have died, especially if those deaths were assocated with high emotion such as suicides, can become places of power, as can sites of religious worship or pilgrimage.

Cultivated places of power are usually neutral, but naturally or accidentally created ones may be beneficial or malicious in nature.
