When her pack was being slaughtered by The Johnson Pack, one of the pack members expressed a sexual interest in her. Shirley went along with this, beginning a relationship with him, both to save her own life, and so that she should take care of Aiden Steiner and Ethan Steiner, who the Johnson Alpha had decided to keep around due to their unusual abilities.

After enduring more than a year of sever physical and sexual abuse, Shirley was murdered by her boyfriend.
