The Great Runeforge

The Great Runeforge is a building located in the Iron Rocks' tallest mountain, aptly named Runeforge Mountain. It is used by Dwarves to manufacture Runestones. Though there are several Runeforges in throughout Iron Rock, this is by far the grandest and most notable.

Purpose / Function

The Runeforge is used by Dwarves to manufacture Runestones, which they distribute and sell throughout the world.
Like other Runeforges, the Great Runeforge works by applying immense pressure to Runestones. A colossal press is hoisted to the top of the mountain and the stone is placed deep within the earth below it. The press is then released, and it is stopped by the stone at the bottom, which absorbs its kinetic energy. Sometimes Dwarves would even set explosive charges above the press to accelerate it even faster and produce a better Runestone.
