Runestones have been mined by Iron Rock Dwarves for millennia. Collected from the blazing infernos at the bowels of mountains, Runestones hold an immense amount of energy within them. How much energy can be stored and how quickly it can be discharged deviates. Every user of magic uses a Runestone.

Runestone is found as a clear and smooth crystal, though after being processed in a Runeforge (Like the Great Runeforge) it is a mostly opaque and rough crystalline. Runestone comes on a variety of colors, which do not affect its capacity or power.

Runestone stores energy used for Runestone Magic. It is cool to the touch, and very hard.

Geology & Geography

Runestone is mined from deep beneath Iron Rock, which is the only place where it is known to occur.

Runestone is found in pure crystalline form, but is sometimes enclosed in rock.
