The Unhouse

An uneasy, horrific display of a house that sits rotting a mottled in a forest south of the village Tarmsworth. Not many know of the origin of the Unhouse, but many know to avoid it as it radiates a horrid stench of unease.

Purpose / Function

The Unhouse, initially, was meant to be a temporary place of stay for an adventuring group in Sciadan set on killing an incarnation of Chaffinch. The building however was constructed by Sciadan's most wanted, Binx The Cat, utilizing an army of undead from the Tarmsworth graveyard. The undead of course being horrible builders created an abomination that nobody wanted to stay in.

The building now stands as an ever present icon of decay, anyone walking near would feel a horrid sense of dread dance down their spine.

Alterations

The building has undergone zero alterations since it was created, with the exception of a lone undead soul who wanders through the woods occasionally leaving a flower at the foot of the Unhouse. The purpose is unclear, yet it happens often.

Architecture

The entire building is built from scrap and nearby lumber, the surrounding area devoid of trees for that reason.

Defenses

The only defense the Unhouse has is its aura of doom as nicknamed by the locals, anyone walking towards the Unhouse will feel a horrible sense of impending dread that increases the closer they get, it's become a game with local kids to see who can get the closest without running away.

History

The Unhouse was a resting spot for an adventuring party but was never taken down, so now it just stands there. Forever.

Tourism

A lot of residents from elsewhere in Sciadan regularly travel south just to see if the rumors of the Unhouse are real, and to their dismay they are.

Alongside people just wishing to see it for themselves, the locals in the surrounding villages travel into the woods to play chicken with the aura of doom the Unhouse provides.

Ok, then remember that you can only use credited art that you have the permission to use on WA, and they are especially strick about it during competitions.   From Summer Camp rules: "No art theft. You must have permission to use any art you post publicly on World Anvil, and all art must be credited using the artist credit fields or in the article footer."   Uncredited art could get you disqualified, and it would be a shame because your content is good!
