Serra is considered to be the cradle of civilisation in Pagaema, it was home to some of the oldest empires. It is thus home to some of the oldest cultures. In recent times, as the world has grown more interconnected fish from other regions in Serra are reaching dinnerplates in Serrataray. Other foods used in Serran Cuisine are citrus, fruit, livestock. The Serrans are notorious for being particularly matriarchal, and it is still reflected in modern serran society. The Ankaray were living in South Serra long before The Serran Empire came about. When the Serrans arrived the Ankaray were integrated into serran culture, but this integration was only half complete, The Western population were more receptive to the Serrans than the Eastern population, which is why the Ankaray still exist today. The Mlissos are the fair-skinned people of the Cold Coast, they are viewed by many foreigners as savage, but they are one of the oldest cultures in the world and have maintained their way of life despite the rapid changes throughout history. They made a home out of the frozen landscape of the Cold Coast, carving their homes into the mountainsides or settling in river valleys. they did not have a unified government until very recently under the Serran Confederation, and the tribes have had great autonomy through the years. They were the tragets of a genocide campaign by the Mantarit but survived, unlike the Mzeyl, the other fair-skinned people on the Valet Sea.
