Amnethyr

Amnethyr is the largest and oldest of the elven cities, located in the heart of The Jade Wilds. Known for its stunning beauty and cultivated vistas, adventurers and explorers from far lands flow toward the city in hopes of seeing the place for themselves. Most are turned away, as the Solihana (High Elves) that currently control the city are suspicious and haughty, finding other races beneath them or even unnatural in the cases of Dragonborn and Tieflings. Only those with legitimate business with an individual or organization within the city are allowed passage, and only then with a watchful eye.

Government

Amnethyr is governed by a semi-theocratic, monarchic dynasty. The monarch, called the "Speaker for the Suns", is responsible for the city and its surrounding populace. Amnethenes believe the ruler is appointed by Celia herself. Each ruler has been born at a time foretold by the previous ruler via a vision as they near their transcendence. While squabbles about whether specific individuals are the chosen rulers sometimes arise, the individual with the most support or aptitude is often seen as the chosen of Celia.
