Moonblight

Moonblight is the oldest city ran by the Deepcore Foundation. Founded a year after the Deepcore Foundation amassed a large amount of funds from discovering and selling off large quantities of Edenite, Moonblight was founded initially as a mining center for a massive cache of Edenite that was discovered in the northern parts of the state of Georgia. Since then, up until and even after the The Withering occured; it has remained the most elusive of the Foundation's cities, with a long series of mysterious events occuring at the town; acting as a centerpiece for a lot of strange events...

Districts

Upper Rung Of Society

The upper-class live in this part of the city, which is located within the center. It's surrounded by a massive wall reaching up 125' | 38m tall, with limited access depending on either your place in society; whether you're a politician or a Deepcore Foundation executive; or have a significant amount of cash. The homes for the rich are either in massive stacked-penthouse towers, large mansion homes fortified with the best security money can buy, or homes mounted on the inside of the tall walls.

Middle-Class Sector

The majority of the citizenship live here, everyone living in cramped apartments; homes that are pressed up close to each other; and such. A large amount of businesses are found here too, various shops and resturaunts for people to enjoy themselves in, selling all sorts of product that the Deepcore Foundation permits and creates. Alongside that are a large amount illict businesses hidden throughout the city; selling imports obtained illegally or without a permit from Deepcore. Another wall, around 100' | 30m, surrounds this sector, with restrictions on travel being rather lax compared to the upper-class sector.
There is a large homelessness problem prevalent throughout this part of the city, with many unable to get a home due to rising tax costs and general overcrowding issues. Escapism has also been rather prevalent in the town, many secluding themselves into their homes and avoiding all contact; whether it's via entering VR worlds or what-have you.

Outskirts

The outskirts are a large section of land consisting of either abandoned; run down structures or heavy amounts of forest. There are pockets of homeless people living out here, as well as lower-class civilians whom have opted to either live in one of the Deepcore-owned Civilian Living Structures, in a formerly-ran down building that they've restored, or had constructed their own home. The last wall of Moonblight, surrounding the entirety of the Outskirts-- and by extension all of Moonblight; extends up to 200' | 60m in height.

Industrial Zone

The Industrial Zone is where a majority of the jobs within Moonblight are located. Those who work here often work either in one of the various factories located here; or go down into the vast mines that reach down to 7km below the surface. This area is where a lot of the ores such as Edenite and Magnetite are mined to this day; with no plans on stopping the operations ongoing down there. The mineshafts are supported by Depthmektal, which has helped with keeping the land stable.

Underlands

The underlands are a nickname for the various caverns and mineshafts that had been abandoned by the Deepcore Foundation over the years. Those who live here have made their homes within the caves, coming up whenever they need supplies or food; or wish to enjoy themselves within the town. Various shafts lead up into the Outskirts and the Middle-Class Sector, despite the Deepcore Foundation's efforts on sealing these caverns up. It's rumored that there are tunnels that lead far, far away out of Moonblight into other areas, and although efforts have been made by a few to go through these tunnels; none have ever been seen again after traversing down them...

Red Barrier Lake

The Red Barrier Lake is a massive lake located in the Outskirts of Moonblight. The name comes from the several tall, monolithic structures that surround the lake; colored a bright red and serving an unknown purpose. These monoliths have been at the lake for decades; simply popping up mysteriously one day in the mid-40s, and despite efforts to remove them; it has proven fruitless and impossible to do.

Demographics

A large portion of the city is inhabited by Humans, with there being small pockets of Nymphs, Vampires, and Werewolves living in and around the city. The lower-class populations; defined within the Deepcore Foundation as either being low-income or homeless, live either on the outskirts of the city; within run-down buildings throughout the city, or in compact apartment complexes.
Criminals and the homeless are often strongarmed or even forced into working in the mineshafts in an attempt to either free up the prisons in Moonblight or get the homeless off of the crowded streets; alongside the Deepcore Foundation employees that are already working down there. These people are often stricken from the records, being known as 'Unfortunates' to the populace within Moonblight. Unfortunately, there are a large amount of people forced into this lifestyle; and even though there have been efforts by some within Moonblight to help them out, there's still many who are forgotten as they work deep in the ground.
There's rumors that those who disobey their keepers within the mines, and certain criminals whom are considered too dangerous to be put into the mines; are either handled by the Peacemaker within the city, or thrown into a supposed 'black site' that exists within one of the Deepcore Foundation's facilities; though there's no known proof of this.

Defences

The entire city, along with massive; towering walls made out of Depthmektal and concrete, is protected with various high-powered and effective weaponry that allows it to fight off any of the creatures that exist outside of the walls. These include Phaselight Barriers covering the entire city, Hypersound Cannons loaded with as much Mana as possible, and dozens of Mass Production Surtr Models and manned Arachnid-Type Walkers standing guard outside the city.

Infrastructure

There are several civil service buildings found throughout the entire city, all of which have been of great importance to the survivability and longetivity of Moonblight. These buildings include a HQ for the Moonblight division of the Deepslate PMC; hospitals fitted with state of the art, albeit rather expensive, medical treatments; and firestations that make use of hovercraft to quickly bring firefighters and supplies to areas that are burning up in flames. Occasionally, in an empty lot; abandoned building or even in the Outskirts of the city, the Clinique Santé-Voyage will appear; bringing aid to those who need it in Moonblight.
Various schools and libraries are found within Moonblight, all teaching a detailed history of the world; including the known information about The Bloom, the years of growth and change that occured with World War I, The Great Depression, and WWII; and finally the disaster that was The Withering. Of course, what the schools teach vs. what you find in the libraries about what caused The Withering conflict heavily; with some believing The Deepcore Foundation's story about what happened, and many disagreeing and believing the supposed truth. Within the libraries, one can find various texts about various myths found throughout the world such as the 10,000 Days, books on how to read the Alpha Tongue, and even on the creatures outside the walls that protect them; such as the Harbinger Worms.

Religions

There are many religions that have made their home here in Moonblight, of which range from the more common to the more obscure. Various churches for these religions can be found in Moonblight, all practicing and worshipping their beliefs without too much interference from others. Despite the Deepcore Foundation's attempts to make White Starism dominant in Moonblight, they've been rather unsuccessful, especially as other religions such as Rastafarianism, Fleshism, and Jugglist began to be promoted in the area.
