The Bloom

The Bloom is an event that occurred on 1901, November 6th. The Bloom is what brought Mana back to the world and created other supernatural phenomena on Earth; starting with the manifestation of Edenite, Tears, and Warp Storms, the activation of Artifacts, and the creation of various supernatural locations such as the Bermuda Triangle. The cause of The Bloom is unknown, though it is speculated to have begun in the Pacific Ocean. The occurence of The Bloom had completelye changed humanity in ways such as belief in religion, technology, and the general view of humans as a whole species. The times, as people had come to realize, were changing.

Effects On Humanity

Humans were one of the more immediate races affected by The Bloom, as all over the world, humans began to exhibit magical capabilities. Races that had been hidden away in the world, such as Vampires, Nymphs and Werewolves gained a tremendous boost in magical strength, allowing them to spread their influence further across the globe.

Certain groups of humans, meanwhile, would suddenly gain an affinity for the underground, with a majority of these humans taking refuge in large caverns located in the north. These humans would eventually become the Hyperborean.

Ordinary humans, meanwhile, would be able to extend their lives for longer periods of times; and in some cases, even survive debilitating diseases and injuries. Whether it's magic being used to augment one's life or injured organs such; such as if one suffers from a heart attack, or if their body were enhanced via being placed into a magic-infused cybernetic form; humans have been able to live atleast up to 100 years or older at times. Of course, this would result in overpopulation in various parts of the world, especially in the middle east and europe.

Enviroment

In certain parts of the world, such as the Amazon Rainforest, vegetation began to grow at an accelerated pace. Alongside other events occuring in these forests; a large group of female humans would begin to make refuge in the rainforests; becoming known as Amazonians. In a few select areas; Edenite began to grow and manifest out of the trees, creating enchanted, magical forests with strange flora and fauna to be discovered within them. Deserts would begin to exhibit Warp Storms, taking people away to another world that remains difficult for humans to get to through any other means. Weather around the world became more chaotic over the years, with new types of phenomena being observed; such as Purple Haze and Inverse Rain, the latter of which would create further deserts around the world.

Temporal anomalies would begin to manifest all over the world, with the more extreme cases of such anomalies being the creation of alternate timelines that branch off from the main timeline of the world. While these aren't heavily documented, the most notable one as archived by entites whom can manipulate or analyze time is known as The Frost. A majority of humans both on Earth and within this branch of time are completely unaware of the existence of these split timelines; although occasionally there will be a story that comes up somewhere secluded in the world of someone exhibiting supposed memories of these other timelines.

Religion

Various religions would begin to develop over the years as a result of people beginning to believe in the supernatural. Along with existing religions such as Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and others experiencing a sudden boom; there would be the development of Starism, Jugglist, and the Fleshist Organic Church.

Technology Advancement

Science began to exhibit a large boom, mainly due to how magic would be implemented into scientific research. It would speed along certain developments, with weapons technology speeding along and becoming much stronger than many would ever anticipate. Edenite Bombs, Hypersound Cannons and such would be created; meanwhile for the ordinary human; there would be a boom in technology available for them. Disc drives that could hold up to several Terabytes of storage, near-zero latency with internet connection, advanced computers; whatever could become possible, became possible. A large part of it came about due to the Deepcore Foundation and various other scientific organizations, both owned and independent of Deepcore; gaining newfound knowledge on the world and science. This would culminate in the devlopment of advanced technologies such as SYNTH and the RMO AI series.

Social Changes

People would begin to experiment with magic in the coming years after The Bloom, becoming Arcanists. Several schools would be established across the world by people whom have educated themselves well with mana, allowing people to learn how to use Mana & keep them from suffering from Mana Overexposure Disorder while doing so.

Access to the ability to modify one's body using magic didn't become a mainstream idea until the 30s, when newly-formed practictioners of magic, calling themselves Ceramists, began to use magical abilities to shift their physical forms. Although there were many who would attempt to outlaw or prohibit Ceramists from doing their jobs, they would ultimately prove futile. This would result in a large bloom of the transgender movement in the mid-to-late 70s; with many people seeking out Ceramists to reforge their bodies into their preferred form. Alongside that, Starism took off as a result of this, with many people turning to the religion as a form of acceptance amongst their peers.

History

The Bloom would last from 1901 to 2015, Janurary 2015. During that time, various events would occur; bringing further changes to the world, until that fated day in 2015. On that day, a particular event took place, one that would destroy and change everything...
