Island 1 - Port Eden

The first permanent colony aside from Most Mira Station, Island 1 is the biggest man-made object in space and home to the largest orbital population. Island 1 is situated part way between Earth and Luna at Lagrange Point 1. It serves as the primary spaceport and shipyard for all the nations of Earth. Island 1 is a modified Bernal Sphere, housing the many dock workers on the inside of the massive rotating section, while the central axis is used for ship construction. The construction of this station was sanctioned by the Pacific Asia Coalition giving them a substantial bargaining chip in political and economic deals.
