Island 2 - Hidden Valley

Designed primarily as a research outpost and waystation, Island 2 AKA Hidden Valley, is situated beyond the dark side of the moon. It gets its name from the fact that it is never visible from Earth. Island 2 was built by TASA to support orbital security operations and long range patrols and to keep a watch over Earth's blind spot on the dark side of the moon.
Due to lower traffic, Island 2 was build with a much lower population density in mind. Darksiders generally disapprove of Hidden Valley's existence, since it represents a foreign presence constantly watching over their ancestral home. Various accidents and mishaps on Island 2 make the station seem unlucky and thereby undesirable to those emigrating from Earth unless they are completely out of options. Hidden Valley is mostly populated by TASA military personnel, so a posting there isn't always voluntary.
