Knights of Morr

The Knights of Morr, an elite order established after Mordred's ascension to power, serve as the backbone of the Kingdom of Mordred's military might. Their creation was simultaneous with the establishment of the Church of Morr, intertwining their martial prowess with the fervent worship of the Blood God. Unlike the levied armies of neighboring realms, the Mordredian military consists entirely of highly trained, elite soldiers. Whether drawn from farm boys or warriors groomed for battle from birth, every soldier within Mordred is trained to fight with unparalleled fury and skill.

Renowned as the most formidable warriors on the continent, the Knights of Morr don blackened armor forged from Black Steel. This intimidating attire not only instills fear in their enemies but also serves as a symbol of devotion to both the Blood God and King Mordred. Their presence on the battlefield is a testament to the kingdom's might and religious zeal.

The Knights of Morr are tasked with the rigorous training, leadership, and organization of Mordred's forces. Every aspiring soldier must first become a knight, undergoing intense training to embody the order's ideals of strength and discipline. As the sword and shield of the kingdom, the Knights of Morr ensure the military's effectiveness and readiness for war at all times.

Their influence extends to every corner of the kingdom, with knights stationed in even the most remote regions. This widespread presence guarantees that Mordred's will is enforced throughout the land, maintaining order and preparing the nation for any conflict. The Knights of Morr embody the kingdom's relentless pursuit of power and the unwavering devotion to their fearsome deity, making them a crucial pillar of Mordred's dominance and ambition.

In order to govern such a formidable force, the Kingdom of Mordred requires exceptional leadership and skill. King Mordred has personally selected nine mighty warriors to serve as his most powerful, influential, and closest confidants. These nine are bestowed the title of Knight of Mordred, symbolizing their paramount power within the kingdom.

The following are the esteemed Knights of Mordred:   Achilles, the Knight of Mordred: Renowned as the emissary of death and Mordred's right-hand man, Achilles is a warrior who revels in the thrill of battle and slaughter. He is unruly and detests order, obeying only two people: King Mordred and Didier, the only individuals who have bested him in combat.

Archeon, the Deathbringer of Mordred: A mystery among the knights, Archeon always wears his armor and never shows his face. Loyal to the letter, he is devoid of any character or life, leading some to believe he is a ghost or construct. Regardless of his true nature, he brings death wherever Mordred commands.

Balader, the Colossus of Mordred: One of the few non-humans among the knights, Balader is a giant towering over 10 feet tall. He rules the military province of Arcassfort, a place dedicated to preparing for the next war.

Bok, the Blood Raven of Mordred: An Aarakocra known as Mordred's assassin, Bok is dispatched whenever Mordred wishes for someone's head to roll. He is infamous for assassinating King Agamemnon, an act that ignited the Vermillion-Mordred War.

Cirsis, the Supreme Sorceress of Mordred: As the head mage of Mordred, Cirsis is responsible for transforming the nation into a magical war machine. A sadistic genius, she conducts inhumane experiments within the mountains, continuously advancing the kingdom's magical prowess.

Didier, the Black Knight of Mordred: The captain of the knights, Didier is the most important member of the order. He is the most powerful man in the kingdom, second only to King Mordred. An expert in all weapons, fighting styles, tactics, and strategies, Didier is a mastermind whose thoughts escape nothing.

Gungnir, the Dread Knight of Mordred: Known as the lord of fear, Gungnir's job is to instill terror in enemies, subjects, and even friends. A warrior of unparalleled skill, his presence alone is enough to spread dread.

Vexamus, the Dragon Knight of Mordred: A part-dragon, Vexamus leads the dragon knights, a sub-unit within the order. He is a cruel murderer and skilled duelist who rides atop a black dragon, embodying the fearsome power of his kind.

Victoria, the Lady of Mordred: Serving as Mordred's diplomat and spy, Victoria is in charge of obtaining and relaying information throughout the kingdom and beyond. She acts as Mordred's voice when he chooses not to attend, ensuring his will is communicated and executed effectively.

The Knights of Mordred are not exclusive to humans, reflecting the diversity and ruthless efficiency of their order. Each knight plays a critical role in maintaining the kingdom's dominance and executing King Mordred's will, whether through combat, fear, magic, or espionage.
