The Andarine Sea

The Andarine Sea is one of Orphan’s thirteen splinters. It is a vast blue expanse, haunted by storms and sea-beasts, with only a scattering of islands in the way of dry land. Unsurprisingly, given this environment, the region is home to Orphan’s largest naiad population.   The Andar Commonwealth, a nation of peerless seafarers, governs the Andarine Sea. The Commonwealth’s heartland is the Andar Islands, an archipelago in the relatively peaceful western waters of the Sea. “Relatively” is the operative word here—the people of the Islands frequently run afoul of pirates and monsters. Still, although the area is not without its dangers, it’s preferable to the alternative.   Sail east from the Andar Islands, out beyond the crescent of rocky islets called the Sentinels, and you will eventually reach the Leviathan Deeps. An ancient evil dwells in the Deeps, at the bottom of the deep-sea trench known as the Grave of Fathoms. Its influence warps the sea-creatures of the region, which grow to gargantuan proportions and turn savagely violent. Such leviathans regularly swim west in an attempt to wreak havoc on the Andar Islands; only the constant vigilance of the Andarine navy keeps them at bay.   The Andarine Sea is linked by pharos routes to the Ghostlands, the Moranneon, and Templegarden.
