Klaar Bay
The beautiful clear waters of this bay form a small cut into mainland Frisia and acts as a popular beach destination for tourists.
Geography
The waters of the Klaar Bay cut into the western shore of Frisia between Amhorsten and the area around Herongerberg. The depth between this area is shallower than many other locations along the coast and instead of the rocky beaches of Frisia elsewhere, there is more sand here. This makes it the ideal place to vacation and swim during the hotter months.
Fauna & Flora
A water bird unique to the Klaar Bay is the Gray Frisian Heron. They have flourished in the waters and grasslands around the Feldbreaks and find their homes here. The town of Herongerberg is named after them. No one knows why they remain in this area. Tourists come from miles around to watch the majestic birds and their shiny grey wings soaring in groups over the bay.
Natural Resources
As with many other areas of the Frisian coast, fishing is lucrative here.
