Ruins of Fort Kijken
Located on Roverseiland, this ruins was a vain attempt of the Frisian Navy to get some control over the independent pirates and smugglers of Roverhaven. It lasted merely a few months before it was attacked by ships and marines and razed to the groundwork. Roverhaven claimed no responsibility for the fort's destruction, but the Frisian navy, to this day, is doubtful of their innocence. It is largely uninhabited, but occasionally pirates and criminals use it as a temporary camp.
History
In the year 1245AC, the Frisian Navy decided to crack down on the pirates and smugglers on Roverseiland and built a fort here as a bold proclamation of their intent. Shortly after, it was razed to the ground and all the Soldiers manning it were killed or captured for ransom. That was the last time the Frisian Government has made any effort to do anything about the lawlessness on Roverseiland
Geography
The ruins straddle the Schedelwoud and sit on the coast of the Gedder Zee. Not much is left of the fort besides its foundations
