Barrel Hollow

Barrel Hollow is notorious for being one of the only functional settlements in The Gray Lands and The Kraggon Canyon, it lies just 10 miles from the border of The Barony of Bettigar, down the Kragg River or by taking The Tread, the lonely trade road that drives through the bleak Gray Lands. Existing outside of any of the established baronies of Andrim, the town is a haven of sorts for folk that are either exiled from the baronies or perhaps wanted in one of them. Whatever their story, they contribute to a bustling sprawl of shoddily constructed wood shacks and huts, the largest building in the small settlement a large arching tavern in the style of a longhouse. The town is also dotted with a few stands of trade setup by less than reputable fences and traders traveling through the Gray. Barrel Hollow is also a notorious den of slavery and is home to many Slave Auctions with the Dwarven Collar Lords passing through nearly weekly. There is a nefarious "black market" called the Theif's Auction that takes place once a month somewhere within the town, a secret well kept by local brigands and fences.   The Town has no leadership, though there is a group that functions as a type of city watch; moreso just a volunteer force of vigilantes that keep the town's residence from killing each other; just about anything else goes in Barrel Hollow though.   The large longhouse style Inn and Tavern is called The Oasis and is managed and owned by the Dwarf Selok Ironhand , a Dwarf who was shaved and exiled from D'Cann by Thane Selos for his involvement with the Dwarven Rebellions.   The town is a point of passing for many traders attempting to make the perilous journey to The Barony of The Black Coast, but there is a sole merchant you can permanently find in the town, a Purrwan named Half-Fang who's "shop" is moreso just a house, and its location and hours are known only to those referred by word of mouth, as Half-Fang is also a fence of stolen goods, for a nominal fee of course.
