Bettigar
The barony of Bettigar is the Highland's region of the kingdom, on the eastern side of the nation. It's famous for it's lush green Forest and mountain ranges leading into the north. Bettigar is called The Jewel of the East, as it is home to many cavernous mines famous for containing rare minerals and gems not found anywhere else in the kingdom. The Dwarven Kingdoms of old were based here before moving into The UnderMountain in Lagaraah, the Mountains that intersect Beittgar, Tor and The Ruby Desert. Bettigar Keep, or The Baron's Keep as it's sometimes called is the Capital of this rich land; Ruled by the noble Bettgiar Family; they served as Dukes of this region for The Good King and then begrudgingly fell in line as rulers of the region for Ajax. They detested The Iron Lord but Lord Edard Bettigar III decided his family would best be able to serve his people if he was still able to control the barony under Ajax's Blessing; he knew the alternative was destruction at the hands of the new Tyrant. Bettigar is famous for it's competitive tournaments in all affairs of combat, the joust, The duel and knife throwing are all popular events taking place in The Balk Districts Arena taking place all summer long culminating in a championship event called The Festival of The Tempest.
Betigar Keep is famous for it's previously mentioned Arena but it also has a trade district, a row of stalls and markets cutting through the middle of the city that offer a selection of items you wont find anywhere else in all of Andrim. Traders from Foreign lands often visit and set up stalls of mysterious and unknown wares from the Far Lands.
Outside of Bettigar Keep there are a few notable cities and locations within the Barony.
Ockney's Hold; A small mining village south of Bettigar Keep near the Patchwork hills farm lands. It is home to a large mine that traditionally has moved large amounts of Gems and Copper from the hold to Bettigar and other parts of the Barony.
Gravesford; A Town of around 180 people; a river fishing village with fairies that depart into the Patchwork hills as well as the Malgor Swamp; a sinister place said to be home to monsters and witches alike.
Korlo's Folly; a small northern village near the border of Dalrath, said to be the home of the first men created by the God Korlo before he surrendered his divinity and the same place he is said to have returned upon leaving Celstia:
Aferiha: a city in the far western part of the Barony, many homes are built right into the famous giant trees that occupy the Casimian Forest; Many elves live here, and are treated by the locals as equals despite the law of the lands. Elves are given a secret house to live in called "The Orchard" that is said to have some secret passages beneath incase dwarven slavers come through the area.
Agmoran: A trade village setup on the Border of King Agmore's undermountain and the the Andrimian mountain surface; Dwarves host slave traders here and other pedllers of gems and valuables dwarves may look to trade. Most humans or other outsiders are not permitted in the Under Mountain so the Village is outfitted with Two Inns for housing any visitors that may be here on business.
